Tuesday 10^th April, 2012 was a monumental day in the 127 year history of Assumption College as people came together to witness the soft-opening of the school’s new English Program campus at Rama II.

The school’s soft-opening was also the beginning of the 2012 Summer Preparation Course.

During the special morning assembly in the centre courtyard of the Regina Coeli Building, parents were warmly welcomed by Bro. Dr. Anant Prichavudhi, the Director of Assumption College who gave an opening speech. Bro. Pisutr Vapiso, the Director of Assumption College English Program then greeted parents with well wishes. Following the Brothers’ greetings, Mr. Marcin Kempka (Assistant Head of School) and Mr. Sompoch Posinsomwong (Head of Student Welfare), informed students and parents about important school rules and regulations to ensure that a happy and safe educational environment is maintained at the school.

Following the morning assembly, teachers took their students upstairs to classrooms to introduce themselves to their classmates and teachers. At this time parents were also invited to classrooms to meet their child’s Foreign and Thai Homeroom Teachers and observe their child learning in classrooms.

The new Assumption College English Program campus now provides classes for Year 1, Year 4, Year 7 and Year 10. The Summer Preparation Courses will be taught by 22 foreign teachers from seven countries (England, America, Australia, Canada, South Africa, Poland and Ireland) and 14 Thai staff.
