Today is the beginning of Summer Preparation Course 2012 where parents are allowed to send their child to the classrooms and meet with their Foreign Homeroom Teachers and Thai Co-Homeroom Teachers at the Regina Coeli Building.
In the morning, parents were warmly welcomed by Bro. Dr. Anant Prichavudhi, the Director of Assumption College who gave the opening speech and Bro. Pisutr Vapiso, the Director of Assumption College English Program greeted parents with well wishes. Alongside, Mr. Marcin Kempka, the Assistant Head of School addressed school’s regulations to students and parents for their first day at school. Last but not least, Mr. Sompoch Posinsomwong, School’s Discipline, informed parents and students about important school disciplines in Thai.
After the assembly, students went to the classrooms to start their first lessons and introduce themselves to their classmates and teachers. Today is the only special day that parents can observe their child in front of the classrooms.
Assumption College English Program now provides classes for Year 1, Year 4, Year 7 and Year 10. The courses are taught by 22 foreign teachers with 8 different nationalities: British, American, Australia, Canadian, South African, Polish, Irish and 7 Thai teachers with 14 Thai staff.
